The Monastery of St. Antony.
According to the agreement of Apostolat Administrator and the Nuncio of Ukraine, archbishop Antony Franko in 1995, 9 september the monastery in Seredne was confirmed. From 1987 the priest Kasimir Zharkovski takes care of it. The official Language is Ukrainian.
There are 600 Catholics who goes every Sunday in church. In 1994 the new church was built. The priest Volodimir Sviderski came there in 1995. In 1997, October the priest Isaak Chanderek united to them. Franciscans came to the areas: Gluboke, Klechanovo, Antalovtsi, Mukachevo, Uzhgorod.

The church of St. Antony and St. Juri.
The Prince Juri Zbaraghski brought the friars Minor into Zbaragh in 1627. He built the wooden monastery for them. After it he began the building of the church. The prince Janush Corybut Vishnovetski with his wife Evgenia continued the building. In 1637 the monastery was equipped. During the wars (1648-1649) the monastery was destroyed.
In 1675 the Turks burnt the monastery. But only in 1723 The Friars Minor built the monastery of St. Antony and St. Juri, which was holied in 1755, 2 August by the bishop Autony Erasm Vollovitch.
The monastery in Zbaragh was one of the important monasteries in Russian Province to 1785. From 1768 the hospital for homeless people was situated in front of the monastery. From 1777 the latin gymnasium was founded there. In 1923 it received the state right.
During the Ukrainian polish war (1918-1919) the monastery was destroyed. During the comunistical regime the friars were to left Zbaragh.
Franciscans returned to Zbaragh in 1990. The church and the monastery need the repair. From 1994 the restoration is controlled by the priest Maximilian Zhydovski.
At the beginning of August 1997 the roof of the monastery was burnt. That is why the friars were to live in another place. Franciscans take care about Catholics in Shidivtsach and Sudorovi.
Zhytomir
The monastery of St. John of Dukla.
The monastery in Zhytomir is the residence of Custodia of St. Archangel Michael. In 1761 the polish king Stanislav Augast II gave an agreement for Friars Minor on foundation of the monastery in Zhitomir. After this John Caetan Ilinski gave for them the territory where Franciscans built the monastery. In 1803 the monks opened the school. Franciscans’ buildings were destroyed in consequence of the fire in Zhytomir in 1820. The monartery was built very quickly in 1842. It was holied by the bishop Martin Kzuzhamivski. He gave it the title of St. John of Duklia.
In 1844 appeared the order that the monastery must be given to the Lutsko-Zhytomirska Eparchy.
After 150 years, in 1992, 17 May Franciscans returned to Zhytomir. The Bishop John Purvinski gave them the church of St. John of Duklia.
There are 5 thousands Catholics in Zhytomir.
Thanked the urgent Eliseush Grinko the church was restored, which was holied by the bishop John Purvinski in 1997, 25 October.
