Budslav.
The history of Budslav began at the beginning of XV century. The town is situated near Minsk. The polish king Alexander Jagello gaved to Franciscans a big territory in Oshmianska area, 1504. During some years they built the wooden church which was holied by the Vilnuis’s bishop Isiprian, 1591. At the beginning of XVII century the Franciscans from Vilnuis built the church in Budslav and layed there the icon of the Blessed Virgin, which was given to John Pats by the Pope of Rome Klement VIII.
It is one of the wonderful churches of Franciscans. It is famous for it beautiful architecture. During the Sweden wars the church and the monastery were destroyed. The restoration began in 30-th years in XVIII century and ended in 1783.
In 1783 the bishop Francisk Gsovski consecrated the church. The monastery played an important role in Province. Franciscans founded school in 1793-1842. In 1731-1797 in the monastery were hold studies on rethorics. The government closed the monastery in 1858.
In 1995, December the priest Benon Shulic worked im Krivitchach. From 1997, October the priest Albert Turovski and the priest Leonard Odnish worked in the monastery.
The monastery was confirmed in 1997, 15 August. The party of the Blessed Virgin of Budslav (2July) gather a big number of pilgrims.
